What cabinet services do you provide? 

We offer pre-finished cabinetry and custom cabinetry services. So let’s say you’re looking for something we can’t order, we’ll customize and hand fabricate it ourselves at our shop in Austin. Whether you’re wanting something super contemporary or more traditional, we can do anything when it comes to woodwork. On the other hand, we offer a high-end, prefinished cabinet line (fabuwood) which a lot of builders are starting to utilize due to its efficiency. With this option, we can design and ship anywhere in the US. 

What materials do you use to make your cabinets? 

We’re super flexible with this as we work with all types of wood. Our cabinet carcasses are either a pre-finished burcher or maple plywood, but if the designer or individual is wanting something different, we can do that.

Will the cabinets be finished on-site or in shop? 

All fabrication is done in shop. We’ll assemble it at our shop and then it will get installed at the site. Prefinished cabinets arrive at the site ready for installation.

What’s your average delivery time?

It really varies depending on the job. For prefinish, if I were to put in an order right now with no customizations, you’re looking at about a 5-6 week turnaround. With customizations, you’re looking at around 10 weeks. As for the fabricated products we’re building in our shop, it would probably be around 12 weeks or so. Again, it really just depends on the size and needs of the job.

Is installation included?

Installation is not included as that would be a separate line item for the job. (Installation is typically about 10% of the total build cost.)

Do the cabinets come painted?

The prefinished cabinets from fabuwood do come painted, but our in-house products do not. We do, however, offer a pre-stain finish through our partner Rubio Monacoat. They’re an eco-friendly stain company in California who just happened to move right next door to us, so if it’s a stain grade cabinet, we can stain it for you.

Why do clients love working with you?

Mmm I’d say it’s the level of artistry and craftsmanship I bring to the table. My goal isn’t to become some large manufacturing company. I love being in front of clients and personally having a voice and impact in every project I touch. There’s truly an art to what we do. A lot of people may not see it that way, but growing up in Ohio, the artistry of wood really meant something to us and it’s something I carry with me into every project we take. I also think we’re also really good at understanding people’s visions and making it a reality. We love to push the limits, like we’ve truly built it all and that’s what I like. We’re Austinites haha, we love getting in there and building cool stuff.
